we both really like playing all ages shows. Kids tend to be way more into it and not as concerned with trying to come off as aloof and disinterested. Not that everyone is like that at all, but the energy is just better at all ages shows. When I was in high school i would save up for weeks to go to a concert (if i was lucky enough that a band I liked was playing an all ages show) and then would have 2 convince my parents to let me stay out and I would dance til i was soaked in sweat and I will remember all those concerts for the rest of my life. I still enjoy concerts now, but theres something special about being a teenager and just learning about alternative music and starting to attend concerts for the first time and that energy definitely spreads around the room when you let kids in. but yeah, i dont mind playing age restricted shows, i just looove playing all ages shows. I know James has a serious mandate about trying to play all ages stuff as much as possible
